6\" horn build

Take note: There is no point in doing what you did. You've worked the wrong way around

build totaly out of wood first, then when you are happy with the piece,make a fibreglass master, then make your horns totally from fibreglass from the master

otherwise you are throwing money away

all you need to do is ask, thats what we are here for

Mykey i plan to make a master from this first mold. then cast from that!. The way i have done it was so any changes i need to make can be done first from this template. Thanks for your advice people with your knowledgeare allways great to have around, and your imput is allways very welcome.

What do you thing about making a master from a big piece of foam?

tough very hard to mould or make changes, ive never had a go so!!!!!!! any one tryed this method.

lol, it could make a very interesting horn a kind of melted twisted shape.

I saw on national geographic channel 2 guys, Dick Strawbridge e Jem Stansfield (in Italy the program is called "meccanici del pianeta") who build a large cone using resin from a master of foam. They build a generator who utilizes waves to move air in huge plastic pipe, on top of there was a this cone a turbine was screwed on it.
I don't believe too much in television, is this metod to make a master from foam is a fake?

wow do you now what type of foam was used, propally a high density foam, and not the type i wash my car with (lol).

What's the stuff they use in surf boards blanks- styrofoam?

I know some resins can react with even that

Its got to be that kind of foam well like it! (answers on a post card please)
