6\" horn build

With my mt121's nearly finished it time to look at the top end for them. I have decided onhaving a 12" 6" 1" combo the quest was to build a 6" horn to go into the space above the 12" section.

So after a few hours of coming up with ideas and working out size, length, and angles i set about making a wooden mould.

Once the mould was made i got out the fiber glass and started to mould the shape.

Filler was then added to smooth out the flare. And the first coat of under coat added.

All i need to do now is take some plots and adjust the mould as needed. Then make a cast from this mould to make more.

a lot of sweat and the odd swear word! lol. I looked at the sizes of alot of 6" flares angles etc from this i came up with the average size and shape. I used this for the starting point for this project. I then adjusted the angles to suit my needs and size to the desired frequency that im looking for. Im hoping they sound as ive intended them to sound. Once you have the design and size you want i came up with the size's for the basic design of the flare and started cutting wood.
