Cubo Kick 15

Love it, well done buddy.

In a couple of the videos just the kick is playing between 110hz - 240 hz
At approx - 12 db on the mixer master with everything else on the crossover set to 0 db

Sounds really good

Have a PD154 driver kicking about :lol: that I was going to use in an HD15 but would be tempted to use it in your design as it looks like it might perform better as a single unit than an HD15 by itself.

The PD154 has an EBP of 180 which is quite a bit higher than the 18 sound driver you mention which only has an EBP of 130.

Most of the drivers that you mention have Neo magnets so I was wondering if this might be a concern in terms of the slightly larger magnet of the PD154 being able to fit in the compartment. I gather that it might be possible to 'tune' the cab by filling in some of the port holes to make the PD154 more in tune with the cab (if it fits that is...)

Managed to double post somehow and can't seem to delete this one.

Almost finished making a PD 21" loaded Cubo Sub so would be great to have a kick to go with it!

I'm not sure which 18Sound driver you mean, the 15ND930 has an EBP of 156, in general higher EBP is better.

The PD.154 should have at least 2 mm clearance (with the back panel). I would expect a single Cubo Kick 15 to perform better from 80 Hz and up than a single HD15.

i'm going to build two cubo kick 15 loaded with 15 nd930 to do 90-180 hz between xoc1th18s and mt121s.
to fit my system i'd like to make it 571mm wide and possibly also 571tall. could i make it deeper to gain back some low response?
making it 571 x 571 x 720mm deep, as the the th18 on which it should sit, would bring the total volume almost back to the original .

@jo bg: Making Cubo Kick 57.1 cm wide would only change the response slightly as would making it 57.1 cm high (taking away the volume in front of the driver). Both adjustments wouldn't alter the design that much practically and mostly lower the efficiency and probably raise the lower cut off both by a tiny bit. Making it 71 cm deep would make it go deeper at the cost of efficiency. Personally I would just alter the height and the width, without altering the depth.
