Hello, you think the 15NMB1000 will work in die Cubo Kick 15?

I think it will behave very similar to the original 15ND930 but it has a 4" voice coil so it will handle more power thermally, which doesn't hurt. In responds to your PM, that's quite a powerful system you're working on.
Best regards Cubo

Hi Cubo!
I would be glad to receive your advice.
My friends and I have a small sound system:
2 Kind of G subs + 2 reflex cabs with RCF L15 554K as kick + tops.
We want to change our kick bins to cubo kick to get more crisp bass and a "chest feeling".
The question is how it will affect cubo kick parameters with adjustment of it to 53.6 cm width (same as subs)?
Thank you!

Hi Utki,
Changing the width to 53.6 cm lowers the output between 80 - 90 Hz somewhat, in exchange for a slightly higher crossover for the tops. Since chest feeling starts around 120 Hz anyway, it shouldn't matter much. The RCF L15 554K is a great kick driver regardless.
Best Cubo

Hi all,I'm planning to build multiple Cubo Kick 15s and was originally considering the RCF MB15N405 drivers. However, at around £300 each, I'm exploring cheaper alternatives without sacrificing much performance. The FaitalPRO 15FH520 has caught my attention at around £220, particularly the 4Ω variant, which I've managed to find locally.Has anyone tested or simulated both impedance versions in Cubo Kicks? I'm particularly interested in differences in frequency response, distortion, efficiency and overall sound quality across the cabinet's intended 80–200Hz range. My priority is clean, balanced, punchy bass rather than maximum SPL.I'm also looking at the Thomann t.amp range, as they seem to offer decent performance and reliability for non-commercial use.My thinking is that the 4Ω Faital could potentially offer similar performance with a cheaper amplifier than the 8Ω version or the original RCF option. I'd still want sufficient amplifier power to get the most out of whichever driver I choose.I'm interested in the total cost of drivers and amplification, rather than just comparing driver prices.Saving £200 isn't worthwhile if there's a significant performance drop, but equally, saving £50 for a minor compromise isn't particularly attractive. I'm hoping to find a combination that offers a meaningful saving without noticeably sacrificing sound quality or usable output.Has anyone got first-hand experience, measurements or Hornresp simulations comparing these drivers in Cubo Kicks?Cheers!
