Yes Lord Rossells, had seen that before, and it is the Ferrero Rocher of scoop assemblies, however some of us still can only afford snickers.

that did make me laugh, ferrero roche
very nice Tony
but here is a much easier way
fill the gap with glue, snap and fold, job done........not so much a ferrero roche, more pie mash and liqour
the cut would be the width of a blade and not all the way through obviously, or for a more angled bend, one deep cut, and 2 cuts either side of the middle cut half way through

Mike, you should know I don't take the easy route when the tough route is better.
Cutting slots is how we made the curves in the Concert System bass and mid cabs all those years ago. We had a graduated set of slots to suit the varying shape of the curve. The only down side to this method is that sooner or later you cut too deep and the board cracks.
