as you say, main ones:
cradle method- goes in between driver and horn itself and then plug fixes to the cradle
or the turbosound/ASS way
i know which i prefer...

I've never had a wood turning lathe, so I've had to use an unconventional method with the plugs I made, you need a very big sander.

I want to cover it with carbody filler and then make the support with steel wires like centauri.

I personally prefer the turbo/ASS way because it makes the throat nice and rigid, and doesn't put the baffle/flange of the horn under any more pressure than necessary, which is an issue with fibreglass.
with wood horns not so much, but i like the idea of it bracing the throat
