about phase plug was created by bitzo
Hi all,
I modeled a phase plug and I took care about the support to fix it to the horn. So What material do you use for the supports and what about the thickness of it? and how do you fix to the plug?

cheers, bitzo

i been looking into this as well m8t, i looked at using 4 strands if wire in a cross configuration and fixing them to the baffle and plug, or using 6mm ply and glassfibre over them to the horn and plug.....

ive looked at the way its done on a few pro cabs........ where they use fins from the plug to the horn, they look very thin to me, maybe 10mm max, so 6mm ply then 2mm both sides in glass..... function one etc bolt the plug on through the driver...... so this is not an option....

Not the easiest things to do, but not so bad after the first 1000. These Phase bungs were screwed in through the sides of the horn. Which had the added advantage of making the flare more rigid.
