Learning to design speakers was created by dnb123
So I don't know where to begin. Probably the basics, what programme should I use for actually designing and what should I use for calculations?

Then comes the trickier part... What is the Xmax And what are the QTS and the fs and vas. And for the box what is port size? And how can I calculate it?

Need quite a bit of info coz I'm clueless about all of this

Here is a guide to T/S Parameters
this

There are all kinds of design tools, many for free. For reflex WinIsd or Bass Box pro. For horns there is hornresp among others.

Okay I'll check it out when I'm not in school, and does it basically put the plans together to the driver, and then you adjust the horn/cab to get the best results?

HornResp can be used to find an approximation of the ideal horn for a driver based on parameters, but they are generally too huge for practical building. It will be up to you to make the compromises. Also Hornresp will not fold a horn for you. You have to figure that part out for yourself. There are limitations to how hornresp works. it does not think of a speaker as an inverted cone. it thinks of it more as a circular flat disc. It will tell you approximately how much power you can give a speaker before it hits xmax. It will also, with practice, allow you to enter the measurements of a horn design and simulate different drivers in it. I find it fun to geek out on, but it takes some work to get competent with it.

Also worth noting that most simulations are highly inaccurate above the bass range. the tell you how low and loud the bass range is but they don't tell you if it sounds good, nor do the predict the upper range of mids or highs.

What Bgrade is trying to tell yours the program is going to give you are length,s and sections for the horn and you need to design the box with these measurement,s
