B&C do midrange compression drivers now but still, 400Hz or so is going to be your limit.
Jody, I'm guessing that the M4 is the midrange in one of the big mid-tops you work with then?

AT2000's. Origin @ Glade 2005. I don't have any, but nice to rent in every now & again.
life is more fun with boxes you can carry on your own.

Ah yes, that's the only year to date when I've been on the Glade site all weekend, the year I was running the Little Big Top. Didn't get to spend long at the Origin stage but I do remember it sounding very good indeed.
I'd love to do a box like the AT2000 but they're rather impractical for what I do, hence I use cabs very similar to the CS750's which are a one man lift.

Hi All,
Community compression drivers are available from CUK Audio in the UK and from any of Community's other international distributors. Unless, you are in the USA, you won't be able to buy direct from the factory, although Mr Dave Lowe (mentioned above) is a very helpful chap.
The following compression drivers are available as finished goods items...
EM280
EM282
M200
M200A
M4
VHF100
Other Community drivers are available as 'replacement parts'.
The full range of PC and SH fibreglass horns are also available from CUK.
With regards to the question of distortion, the M4 is an extremely low distrortion device and therefore can be considered true hi-fi. If you want to know a bit more about this device, you can download a white paper from Community's website www.loudspeakers.net/files/technote/M4%20White%20Paper.pdf .
I have used the M4 on a Community PC1594 horn indoors, up close and personal and it is really quite special. This isn't just compared to other PA compression products, but high end hi-fi products (I had a few years working in that industry as well).
The EM280 as used in the Opus cabs is also a splendid driver. I believe that Avantgarde use the M200A driver in the Trio.
As csg said, the M4 is usually used in quite specialist applications such as as stadium and arena sound systems and large scale industial paging; as such they rarely make it on to the second hand market.
If you require pricing on these products, just call the office on 0141 440 5333
