So..I'm dumb and need some help was created by MAutopsy
So, I inherited some Speakers , And it appears you are all much smarter than me at this. Looking for suggestions.
Here is what i have for speakers:
Vast amounts of EVM12S Drivers
4 JBL 2123's (vintage)
Siesmic Audio Quake 18" (these are loaded in scoops and would like something more compact, contacted the Man. and they couldnt give me the TS parameters, but 500 W)
A Couple EVM18B Series II
JBL 2445J Compression drivers
What i am trying to do:
Generally running live rock shows to a max of 250-300 people, with the occasional DJ Job.
Cabs that 1-2 can handle.
I'm not to good with these computer programs, like i said, you all seem smarter and i am learning.
any ideas, help would be swell

This needs soeone with the knowlege of the drivers.
I'd suggest PM'ing people but who?
I hate to say it but you may get more response on Speaker Plans, be prepared for a bit of curtness and people that don't answer PM's, but there are guys on there that will know the drivers inside out.

Nicky, the only driver i cant get parameters for is the Siesmic audio quake 18"
And i joined this group because you all seemed a little more friendly.
I would like to use the quakes for T-18 cabs and i'm sure they will work, but still looking at how to plan out my mid section. The JBL 2445J are 2" Compression drivers in horns, and they are phenominal.
Anyone else, maybe?

I Know, everone here will appreciate your sentiments, it's nice here.
A few people are, "Coming over" we'll see if it's just the meet, Tony's new scoop or our friendly faces.
I've built a lot of T18's, used them in many places, they are a thrower though, so if your in small venues....
The JBL coms are as you say brilliant.
Heres the EV's
archives.telex.com/archives/EV/S ... %20EDS.pdf
The JBL 2123
www.jblpro.com/pub/obsolete/2123.pdf
I know you have these but it may help others to help you with the mids.
Gotta be honest, I've chucked everything from Celestion G18Q, to B Lines, PD and RCF in T18's. They all seem to producegreat 90/100hz.
Don't forget the official EV quote was +- TEN db!
Seems we need someone who can help with flared MT type mid info for the drivers listed above.
From what I can see of Siesmic Audio (is this the Memphis lot?) I doubt weather THEY know the T/S. Ebay them and buy something else.
Unless I have the wrong company?
Email Paul at www.wenbleyloudspeakers.co.uk he'll tell you if he's heard of them.
I recon by selling some of the mid stuff, and the 18's you should be able to buy something better for the bass.
Any other takers?

You have the same issue as me, some of the drivers are classics late 70's. How long would they last being pushed in a new box!!!!!! They could be fine or all go wrong quickly. Old driver do deteriate quickly due to glues etc (age). I would sell them as well, try the vintage sound forum for buyers...... Then use the money to get better drivers.

the EMM12S Can be rebuilt cheaply over here, for about 60 USD, that is why i wanted to stick to them, but the JBL 2123's i would rather get rid of.
I will check this vintage Audio forum that you speak of.
T-18's....Maybe i should just go with reflex cabs.
oh and BTW all this will be powered via 80's AB International amps
Maybe some HD15 modified for the EV 12's, how would that cover my mid section??

HD15 is kick. No good for mid.
Why not stick to reflex all through?

Speakers may or may not look cool usually to other speaker bods and the occasional punter. Don't waste your time looking cool, just create a great sound. That's when people will notice you, and your system of course.
