The best bass bin still seems to be a good double 18" reflex to me.

Maybe i should rephrase and say the most versatile bass bin is double 18" reflex, but seems like a nice simple solution to owning a 'scaleable' sound system that earns some money.

Massive horns are a fun hobby but look like they would be a pain if you had to earn a living from them.

Produce a killer sound. Take no prisoners.

Does depend on driver though. I saw a lot of 2 x 18 big cabs recently, all Beyma G400 loaded, driven well. It was nice but not loud for the amount of cabs (four) in a row.

The twin 18" can vary quite a lot.

Mine are compact, about 140L per driver and loaded with 18LW1400 (IMO the best driver for the job) but only really go down to 40Hz. However a mate of mine has some which are 280L per driver massive beasts which are pretty much flat down to 30Hz. They sound very different and are used for different jobs. Mine are an all-round bass bin whereas his are used as dedicated subs.
