fsp small combo

I would be interested in building a small pa system some thing that would be good for 300 people, bass bin each side plus 1 top each side pref on polls from bass. Some thing new call it a fsp small combo any body interested in coming up with designs etc!!!!!

Just so happens I've already done it and probably so have several other people on here but we could always start again! I'd be happy to contribute.

great, im looking for a big sounding system but small in size, the system must sound good on the ears!!! building should not be a problem after the mt121's ive nearly finished lol. Any ideas on speakers!

forgot to mention if possible would like the tops to be a horn design!!!!!

Errmm... Small system and horn loaded doesn't really go together.....

You'll be surprised what a direct radiating system can do.

I reckon maybe something like a 2x10" + 1.4" might be along the right lines? Depending on the music you're playing, unless the one sub is super-efficient you might want two per side for 300 people. Maybe my ported horn design might be the sort of thing for the job.

Drivers wise, anything by an italian manufacturer covers most of the bases!!! I mainly use B&C and 18Sound because I've never found a bad driver by either of them.

You want to be looking for a high efficiency mid-bass driver.

both b&c and 18sound are cool by me. 2x10 are cool too. as for the subs im easy on the way we go. one sub each side would be better for transportation, but if 2 each side means a better sound quality then that may be the better option. 2 a side would produce a low base!!!

Jsg is testing a new design the " S750 compact sub " up to 200Hz and very small, it could be a winner.
