1\" compression driver at 1 khz was created by bitzo
Hi all,
would a 1" compression driver work from 1 khz to 4,5 khz at 100 db?
someone
said yes for 5 minutes after you fry it....or at 24 db for hours...choice your option
but in the technical reference of some compression driver the
recommened crossover point is 1khz... see beyma cp 350 techincal reference.

I don't see why. 100dB isn't loud at all, and the 811B loads down to 800hz.

100dB is less that a watt into the driver.

I know for a fact that the JBl 2426, Selenium D210Ti, and B&C DE25 can handle a low crossover on these.

Unless the Beyma has a diaphragm made from tea-cakes, it should be fine.
