just a slight touch of colour in the background and a slightly different colour scheme for the light blue/grey bars?

I think we should distinct from other forums, so as a compromise I would be happy with anything but this. This looks a bit old hat now, but that's only my opinion.

It's certainly possible, in fact for the Firefox users I could possibly knock up a quick custom CSS file until they change the forum software for one that supports user-selectable skins?

Let's not bother too much about colors for now, I will start a poll and the democraticly obtained result will be used.
