M421 quad 21's subs

Hello to all i was wondering if anybody here has/had any exposure with the McCauley M421 subs, just wanted to get some feedback cause i'm interested in 4 and at 13G's per cab! that's to expensive a chance to take without the right peoples advice, any info on there performance would greatly noted! www.mccauley.com/product_overview.cfm?ID=2275

Have you ever had a chance to hear these cabs?

I have heard them once and .....was not impressed. If you have that kind of money build something and I am sure you can smash those subs. Now if you need to buy something than there are other subs out there that can play louder go lower and sound better.

Many have said that this subs specs are way off. Sub should be -3db at 40hz not what is quoted. Subs have a huge hump in their design and recommended to not EQ at all. Other users I know have tried their subs out and just werent that impressed even though they needed a LG Fp14000 to power a single sub.

SO what are you needing, how much spl do you need and how much do you want to spend?
