re SP:
from what ive heard its all been strategically planned, a certain company cannot compete with another companies cheap speaker box prices, components and amplifiers so this whole scenario has been staged so that certain company is in charge again:
Threats to move to ebay causing mass outrage>
Alot of outrage comments and sensible suggestions>
For sale section disapears>
Alot of outrage comments and sensible suggestions>
Site backed up to a earlier time that day so outrage comments and sensible suggestions on how to save the forum are not visable anymore>
Bruces sob story and threat to shut down servers>
Members beg Bruce to keep the site alive and singing his praises>
Out of the goodness of his heart Bruce very kindly offers to give site back to a certain company totally ignoring peoples offers to host site outside Uk for free>
A certain company step in to save the day and own the forum once again (very well played)>
Is it coinsidence that the whole ebay rule was forcefully put upon us without member suggestions?
Is it coinsidence that speakerplans forum has been offered back to Void first and nobody else?
Legal action from companies has been at its height at the time of review of certain equiment, why use it as an excuse & bring it up now?
hhmm theres something fishy going on!

Ooh.
Well, if there is ONE bit of truth in that, then the people involved are moral free and deserve all life throws at them.
I really hope it is not true, it would make respected (sometimes) people a laughing stock.
Lets remind everybody of the meaning of the word FORUM
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forum
Not a business model.

Don't think there's that much of a conspiracy going on over there..
We're in danger of hijacking this thread, and Flo has already said he doesn't want to hear about SP politics over here.
In a nutshell people complained about for sale section, as it had reached critical mass in terms of abuse, people getting ripped off,
attracting the wrong element.
Acceptable changes were made, people complained, harsh changes were made, people complained even more,
Admin gets tired of the thankless crap, and seriously considers calling it a day. No surprise there.
This thread is about does FSP need Paypal funding to head off this type of crap happening down the road.
Flo has said it's all good for now, so it's utopia again. smiley20
