Hi all.
At the moment I have two X12 type cabs, P Audio Neo and BMS loaded.
These are to cover FOUR GSub type cabs loaded with XB's.

I need a tiny bit more spl, so was thinking of putting the componants in SMT212, with another 1" on a Y.

Do you think this cab will do this, or do I need more horn loading?

Hi Nick, Sorry i Just spotted this thread mate. I have made four SMT 212's with PDN12MH25's and 2" Fane CD280's (I think that's the model number) with Fane Wide Horns. I have made 2 x MT120's and with PDN12's too and I think I get more punch out of the SMT's than I did out of the MT's.

They have been used for Live Bands/DJ work in pairs and 4's at indoor and outdoor gigs to over 2500 people and they still had head room. Last Saturday night one pair of SMT's were on duty in a Barn with 980 people with two pairs of Cubo 15's and 18's driven by a Matrix 5K and a Matrix 4 channel 1200W. The SMT's had the PDN's crossed at 100 Hz and the Fanes at 1.6KHz and the crowd still could not drown them out.

I would highly recommend the SMT's to anyone. The Kick from them is amazing for the style of horn loading that's used.

Let me know if you want some more info. Just PM me. Cheers Jim.
