I´ve been playing records as a reggae selecta together with a friend for several years. Over time I´ve become more and more interested in building my own soundsystem and I´ve now come to the point where I have the cashflow to actually build one.
The places we play aren´t that big (around 150 people) so I don´t think I need ha huge wall of speakers. I´m thinking of building a 3-way system with 2x18" hogscoops but that´s about as far as I´ve come with my plans.
Should I go for 15" or 12" as mids? And what speakerplans should I go for? I´m happy for every suggestion.
And what should I choose for tops? Should I go for a smaller speaker (6-4") or just buy a couple of 1" tweeters? And what plans should I use?

since it has been a long time since your post i guess you have already done something,
if not though i would suggest that if you build 2 18'' superscooper and one X12 you will be just fine for a
very small venue
