cabinet recommendation for das audio speaker driver was created by Bton-FM
Hello everyone I'm new around here!
I can get a pair of these drivers for reasonably cheap: www.sonorisationmegatech.com/resources/sub18%5B1%5D.pdf
What speaker cabinets would go well with it?In the datasheet there is a design but I'd prefer a horn loaded cab because I gather they are more efficient???? (I'm not really sure)
The MHB 4818 says it good with LF18G401 which have a freq range of 30-1000 mhz and the das audio speakers are 35-1000mhz will this work well?
Any help or advice massively appreciated!!
Thank you!

Selecting a driver for a cabinet is usually based on the T/S-parameters of the driver, in this case:
en.toutlehautparleur.com/media/catalog/p...asheet/das/18G-8.pdf
These parameters are pretty all-round usable, the only downside is the small Xmax and Xmech, meaning you'll need a steep high pass filter. The MHB 4818 doesn't go low but it does go loud, I would use a 45 Hz, 24 dB/octave high pass.
Best regards Cubo

Usually you would use an 19" active crossover or sound-processor unit.
