Ok so this has been done in HiFi land for many years, but these ideas could be scaled up for use with 18" drivers in enclosures not much bigger than a normal scoop cab. And it could work out quite well having the driver facing away from the audience. If used below a certain frequency all the sound will be produced from the horn, so it doesn't matter where the driver faces.
One scoop or two. Love this dual driver scoop.

And what a great way to make a ported scoop
Ported Scoop
Modify this and you could have another type of dual driver scoop

very interesting I was thinking of a similar setup a few days ago with the drivers on the side of the horn mouth similar to a lab Horn the two drivers starting off with there individual horn and going into a common at some point

Yeah course. If you think of the double BPH, same principle. Same as the double FLH. like the Martin bins. They have their own path then exit via one mouth

so is there any advantage or disadvantage to place in the drivers on the side instead of the usual front of the enclosure.sound distribution should be the same because of the frequency range We dealing with ?.my thinking is that if you use to 15 inch drivers they will have a smaller chamber volume thus giving more room for horn path given a specific box size
