Re-visited

Last year I built one, put an XB in it (magent in chamber) and decided I didn't like the sound compared to reflex. Cant find post but thats how it was.
Dragged it out of the corner today, threw a really old Celestion in it, 3" coil G18 Q type. Mangent out this time wired normal phase.
Blimey, efficient or what. Stood next to a T18 RCF loaded the damn thing was louder.
Played around all afternoon, the punch is very good. So much so I recon they could also be considered as a kick bin as well as sub cab.
Over the top of scoops anyone?

lol, i thought it was a guess the cab game.... lol dam im normally rubbish at this kind of game..... the ones for sale in the sale section where the extended 18 versions i build. I was blown away with them, i guess its a driver choice issue...... i have only listened to the 1850 driver in them.. should of said magnet in horn sounded so much better too me.....

not sure on it being good for kick use, found they start to honk a bit over 120hz. but did hear them crossed straight to top at an xover around 170hz region, they sounded ok but a bit on the honky side but not as bad a honk as alot of cabs can sound crossing this high....

yes, 120/130, but reflex or mt-130 or smt-212 ok down to this

crossing to a reflex would give you a great compact 3 way system, that can fit in the back of most cars.....
