Just thought I'd post these pics. these are racks made to take the place a tall tower that is impossible to move up and down stairs. This method might mean a few more trips but at least it can be done.

Thy have rubber feet on the bottom which are recessed in, and the tops have recesses for the rubber feet location.
The bottom cab will house the Distro when we decide which one and how many bits etc.

is hot air supposed to get out round the sides?
bit of a problem next to other racks and walls.
other than that, they look good. did some similar ply racks recently (including a 9u!), but not quite as complex as yours.

The sides are open for ventilation. In the setup these will be used in, there will never be any other racks. This is a stand alone stack. Everything was in use last night. So far, so good.

good stuff. smiley20
i supposed amps with back to front ventilation would combat this.
going off on a tangent:
ive been think recently, back to front ventilation surely makes more sense, as more often than not, the rear of amps are blocked in by patch boards and power panels, so seems best to draw in cool air thru that lot, and chuck it out of the front where there are never and obstructions, and it can escape easily.

If there were issues with cooling the amps even more, the backs will provide enough room for additional fans.

I think they're about 500mm deep, although these kind of racks are built to any size that's required.
