19 mm xmax! And that's the real voice coil overhang, not the inlfated figure. But since the top plate is only 12mm, linearity will degrade fast above 19mm. And since it's only a4" VC I'd expect it to be in thermal comression at its rated 1500 watts. Still, an interesting device.

As a rough idea its little brother the L18N850v2 which "only" has 13mm x-max and 1200w is £440.00 + VAT list price. I would imagine it would be about £30 more expensive.
I actually stock the L18N850v2 in the UK but probably will not stock the new driver yet.
Prices too low to publish so PM me if you want more details.

No just the V2. Robbo has some of the Ferrite versions in some cabs that he has for sale and he reckons they sound very good, but I have not heard them.
I have some of the V2's in my own boxes which are pretty impressive. I would like to hear them in some Scoops especially the ones that also work well with the Volt 18", (large back chamber?).
You are looking nearer £300 from me!!!

The 18N860 is now available, price around the £350 mark depending on exchange rates.

In my profile picture you can see 4pcs 18N860s in U frame configuration. Besides 18N860s, I also have 4pcs 18S340v2s, which are also great drivers but with less xmax.
Here are the THD graphs of 18N860 (in free air configuration, which explains the rising thd% towards the lowest freqs due to lower sensitivity in the bass region):
95dB/1m:
105dB/1m:
BMS 18S430v2 performs almost equally to 18N860 at the bass range, but it has less higher order harmonics at ther 200hz region. smiley1 Both woofers distord substantially less than Peerless's HDS PPB 6,5" (also in the profile picture) midwoofers in the whole spectrum. Ultra Low THD drivers indeed.

I've finished to model a midi scoop (what else? ) for this driver ... large chamber about 68,5 liter (without driver), 1.29:1 compression ratio, negative expansion flavoured with a pinch of Mr.Stipe mini mk1.
