RCF & B&C looking a bit similar.....

Now I'm not actually too surprised by this but something I just noticed which is quite interesting.

Firstly look here at the new chassis for the RCF L18P300. Now, that looks a bit familiar I thought.

Then look here . Can you see any similarity?

I'm assuming that one company is now doing all of the chassis for both driver manufacturers.

Chris, I think that they are different chassis. Have a look at the stiffening ribs around the front frame.
Definitely looks like a "spy in the camp job" though.

It looks like RCF have adopted the B and C as a gap filler. B and C are still growing with their market share, and were first to be tooled up with this new design. I don't see RCF growing in the same way. RCF have a huge commercial section and speakers, I believe, isn't the biggest part of their business. I would say they are just re -badging the B and C or maybe using the existing structure and fitting their own cone.

Just looked again. One lesson I have just learnt. PUT THE GLASSES ON especially first thing in the morning. These speakers are similar but not the same.

I wasn't saying that they were identical or that they were the same driver. I just thought it was interesting that they have redesigned their chassis to be more like another manufacturers drivers. Wondered if it was because there is some common manufacturing.

I've always thought that B&C and RCF drivers have had some similarities so there may be some connection between the two.
