12" neo options for mx600 was created by saul
looking at BMS. any reviews. i know some people have had great results in MT121.
but as they are for MX600, i need inverted dustcaps, or at least be able to get in touch with manufacturer to get them to stick them in upside down.
how are the b&c options?

Saul, there are no inverted dustcaps in the range. The only mid speaker I would use is the non Neo 12PE32, but you would have to turn the cap around. It can be done.

I don't know anything about these speakers so I can't comment. I've never really been one for looking at specs either, I always reserve judgement until the speaker is in the box with a signal running through it.
The original speaker for the MX600 was the PD121 with an inverted cap.

that's a fair comment.
i just had a look at that 18sound, and it's an interesting driver. the moving mass is 75% of the pd121, so very light at 40g
the Vas is very high in comparison - the quality factors are all within tolerance, BL motor strength a little low.
trying to make sense of it. i wonder how it'd do. with an xmax of 5mm, i'd say it's more of midbass driver.
the only thing with 18sound is the price, and there is only one distributor in the uk... from experience they are lovely drivers though.
TBH, the PDN.12MH25 is one i had my eye on, as the specs are very similar to the 121. looks like a nice driver, and would slot straight in, and they're only up the road.

Saul just one small point, although Xmax is part of the makeup of the speaker. the travel of the cone will have no bearing on anything because above the x/o point there is no visible movement,
