Hi
This is my firs call for help smiley1
Im looking for a 15" bass/mid speaker for my PA.
The most importent is the mid, it has to be "top of the line"
The PRECISION DEVICES PDN.15BR40 is for studio work, does it means it also sounds great in a live preformance?
If the speaker also do a great live job, is there anyone here who could help me with a plan for this speaker.
It will work together with a 2" 75x85 horn, the size of the horn is 15x15" and sound great.
Today I cut the 15" very high, 2280 hz active with Link/Rel.
I would like a reflex box for a singel driver, the useble freq. is 70hz-2280hz and has to handle 600wrms.
I like to read the plans in mm, please. smiley20

I haven't seen the speaker yet, but if you say it's for studio application, it will not be good for live PA. The sensitivity will be too low.

Why do you want to high-pass a 2" at over 2K and then run a 15" up to it? Any 15" driver is going to be like a Laser beam above 1K and probably sound poo doing it as well.

You have right about the sens, it´s only 96db. but if the mid is a hi end mid the 96db is ok for me. smiley1
If anyone have a suggestion about a good bass/mid speaker, I like to know smiley20
I would like a punchy bass and dynamic voices.
I like the sound by the horn especially above 2280hz, but if I use the shelvin and some eq I probably still use it with a good result.
I also use them as wedges when there is a big setup. So, the size have to be fairly small...
Is it possible...
