JBL 8330 MKII

I have been given 8 JBL 8330MKII they are not really PA material, but I was wondering if they can have ANY use:
-As sidefills for bigger events
-Monitors
-Using the drivers for another project (8", 5" and 1")
-Forget it and sell them
-...

Any input appreciated

Would make 4 very nice workshop hi-fi's!

If the boxes were made a more sensible shape they'd be good for a pub/bar/restaurant background music system.

Did a quick-dirty test of them at home on the hifi and was impressed by the quality.
We also tried them with a friend guitar+Marshall Amp and he said he liked the sound too ("cleaner and more dynamics than my Marshall" in his own words )
Last test was 2 boxes for backing tracks and one for the guitar, and that was a good Friday.

So the plan now is to keep 2 in the living room, 2 in my bedroom and give some to my guitarist friend.

As the name tag says, Cinema surround. Wouldn't have any real PA use due to efficiency. Your use of them is the best. As for guitar etc., as with all Hi Fi components, there's far to much top end fizz to play raw guitar through. Completely the wrong dynamics, although playback would be fine.

I am a home cinema enthusiast and just picked up 2 of these speakers cheaply to add to my system.

Was looking to pick up another 2 to make up a 7.1 surround.

Dont spose you would consider passing them on?

I dont really have much of a buget which is why I was after second hand but would really appreciate it if you dont have a use for them and have 2 spare :thumbup:
