Agreed, butwhy woulda punter spend £350 to £400 on a scoop cab, that wont perform as well with the best scoop drivers as other cabs at the same price or cheaper?
Shortman cab is approx £375 and currently unbeatable with Turbomax,
S.C.A wrote: so what price would you suggest for all the above components, ply, time and workshopcostsfor the cab to be finished to a very high standard, as you seem to be veryclued-up on the subject?
Have seen Dom, Insomnia and others quote £250 for scoopers, not with splatter finish, or double bracing, but people who want that, would buy ASS anyway.
S.C.A wrote: Ans is Tony really selling his full scoopcabs for £350-400 unloaded and finished? .... Im pretty sure there worth more than that..
Tony has quoted between £350 - £450 for RX18, but this cab is best scoop on the planet for PD1850.

but if i do sell them id like to go to town on the finish.. and delivery is usually included (within 150m)
Nah, save the posh finish for hogs, WSX's, MTs .
If you put on A.S.S stylee grill battens, on the top,and grill frame around the horn mouth, and standard paint job, I'll collect 4x of 'em for £200'ish each .

If you askmore than the market is willing to payfor your product, your product wont sell.
A.S.Sscoops are the best made scoops on the planet, ask Tony if he makes his living from selling those, and he made the first JBL 18" scoop !!!!!

Because the market is used to buying things from China etc, where labour costs alot less.
You are buying from a UK sources, built to how You want. If you wanted Pink paint with 16 handles a side you would get it! You know whos building, and could go visit his work shop!
Im Pretty Sure Tony isnt Building Anymore, Probably one factor is Because People Dont Want to Pay what its worth and there isnt enough money in it to make it worth while

Im pretty sure thats a Direct Price. Im sure the RRP would be well over £1k for a loaded bin.

Dont think there are manyon Speakerplans/FSP buying scoops from China.
And even less paying 1K for 1x loaded scoop.
I asked the man how much for his scoops, and he said what he was looking for, and I said price is too high, and why. No problem..
He will either keep them, or sell them for lower than £380 each. Can guarantee that.Edited by: YoungBlood
