Swap meet / Fair

ive had the idea for around 6months now of putting on a swap meet/fair. So people can sell some unwanted gear/spares and meet other like minded people.
so far ive not really looked into it, i know a venue that i should be able to hire for a reasonable sum.
would probably have to charge for a table, but odviously if you dont have much stuff you could always share a table.

Anyone got any thoughts?

A good idea. I would also like the oportunity to meet up with members even if only on a yearly basis, and what about a firms band to rehearse end play at the firms do.

All ready considered some kind of entertainment.
was going to aim for October. then if goes well may do one next spring/autumn.
most likely location will be Bham.

ok, will crack on and see how feasable it will be.

But its a good idea, everytime i buy something i end up talking to the seller for ages and just learn so much.

some points to think about:

What would be a good day to do this, Weekend/Weekday?

How much would you be willing to pay to sell? (would aim to price it between £10-20)

Would it be ok to charge on the Door? (keeps the scallywags out/helps to pay for advertising, hire of tables etc, Probably be a round £1-2 entry)

power would be provided on request?

A small Demo area for demoing Cabs/amps etc?

What should be allowed? ie just used/with alittle bit of new.
