The drivers for the MT502 were 200 watt 16 ohm Volts for the mids JBL 2445 for the 2" and 2402's for the tweets. That was over 25 years ago. Today there is more choice, there are a lot of good speakers about. You can do the whole lot fro m within the B and C range, which is why I like them so much.
Did you supply the bs500 cabs at one point with jbl models? And also, without taking pot luck, how would I know which current model of any manufacturers driver will work well in cab?

Because the speakers are old and the ones in use have been passed on during their time, they probably have had all sorts of speakers shoved in. As far as the BS500 is concerned It has worked with many speakers. I have put in JBL2226 but they are delicate speakers. Rcf 15's were used after Fane. You could use Band C 15PZB100 or 15PL100. In the Neo range I have the 15NW76 in the R2U system. This is the most efficient speaker for bass.

Are these any good or just some cheap replacements?

Nor have I. Probably best to match them up with my other mt502's loaded with jbl
