Have heard PD are no longer making neo drivers?

may be old news to some, but recently heard PD will no longer be making neo drivers?? any truth in this? hae used neo midrange drivers from pd and they sound great! not keen on the price but definatly nice sounding drivers

if thats true the neo craze didnt last long!!!!

is it because of sales being low on neo's as they are getting rather silly in prices?

the price of neo makes it uneconomical to make drivers with..... but i did read the price has fallen slightly.....

They definitely have stopped making them, for the time being. there are none listed on their new price list. Obviously the price hike has affected all manufacturers, even B and C whose new speakers only consisted of Neo models have started to develop new Ceramic models. It will be interesting to see what happens with Line Array product in the future, as Neo speakers have basically been the main type of speaker in these cabs. The prices will definitely increase.

Many neo groupies classed the "1850" crew as cavemen, wonder what happens now... !?

Both the PD 12" & BMS 12" & 18" neo I have are faultless... apart from the price nowadays lol

Since January 2011 prices have started to go up massively. The prices rose by well over 100% up to the peak in July. Since july things have changed and prices are coming down as we speak but they won't come back to the level it was at last year january.

The worst of it should now be over but the prices will never come down to the previously low level.

A lot of development is going on behind the scenes to make more efficient use of the magnetic material both with neo and ferrite. With BMS the first signs of this was the BMS 4547 which although a Neo product actually has a much smaller magnet (because of the design) than would have been used previously.

I have been told that there is much more in the pipeline
