with the driver firing in to the horn, just a question but would this not cause phase issues........... looks like an interesting design.

yes, just like every tapped horn I think. But....I don't know what does it means, may be phasing cancellation at certain distance?
and...how can I calculate this distance?

i think the equation is volume of rear chamber vs length of horn vs freq....... not sure though.

it may be worth knocking one up out of mdf and taking some real time plots. looks interesting.

looks interesting smiley1

This one will balance on blurry border between TH and scoop (due to a bit larger rear chamber than usualy found on tapped horns).
On tapped horns pnase issues will not be problem (ofcourse within their usable bandwidth - which is wider than with scoops) .. thanks to all tapped horn design theory and sound physics. smiley33

much obliged Stipe! So...how could we obtain the usable frequencies? Just seeing the spl graph or other calc...

There is no some "rule" ... In fact most comercial companies define "usable range" in their brochures by graphs (or freq. measurements) while on same time real world usable range is defined by listening because it is irelevant if for example bass horn can reproduce up to 180Hz flat at freqency responce measurements while in same time it start honking at 110Hz like crazee.

So it is common situation - usable range 35-200Hz .. but factory recommended crossover setings are HPF 35Hz , LPF 90Hz
