Wanted: Crest CA18 and QSC 3402

Good idea, wrong amps.

Best use of a CA18 is 2x subs per side on 16A+ supply.... Heaven..

There's plenty amps out there that will smack CA18/MA5000VZ at 8 ohm stereo power, and be lighter/cheaper.

Not on paper, but in real life situation, where amp efficiency matters on 13A supply..

Maybe you should try bridging that across your '51s.

Or Borrow an MA3600VZ/Proline 3000, and test your scoops at 8 ohm stereo on those.

Yes, I've got a ca12 and 18. Just wanted 2 identical amps to evenly control all 4 units.
After asking a few questions on other forums, I was advices it wouldn't be beneficial to bridge the amps at 4ohms.

If I can't get a ca18, might go for a pair of peaveys! And shot my crests..........

You are looking to play Roots/ReggaeDancehall/ thru your scoops.
So you need to ask people who know about playing this type of material, and who know about scoops, and about capabilities of strong torroidial amps.

This is why many Big sounds don't talk on SP, because you have guy's on there talking about stuff they have no idea about.

If you want to know about bridging amps into 1850 scoops, playing Roots/Dub, talk to Paulus/Ren.

Once you have strong, quality amp, that supports 4 ohm bridge, and "does what it says" smiley2 , nothing wrong with bridging it across 2x 8 ohm subs.
That's why manufacturer mentions 4 ohm bridge in manual, and expected power. smiley2
